About CashNet Sweepstakes
My name is Amanda, and I'm a stay at home single mom from Australia. I started CashNet back in 1997/98. It started out as a freebie-type website (CashNet Freebies) from my love of things for free. The web was already saturated with freebie sites at the time, and my site wasn't doing so well.
Eventually it clicked - I stumbled across loads of sweepstakes on my hunt for freebies to share so decided to diversify into sharing sweepstakes as well. The sweepstakes side of things was very popular, and over time CashNet turned into the Sweepstakes Directory you find here today.
I get the occasional complaint about the banner ads and pop-unders on CashNet. I'd just like to remind everyone that CashNet is a free resource and running a website such as CashNet is both time consuming and expensive. To cover the costs involved with running a popular website I have to display banner ads and the occasional pop-under. The revenue generated from the ads and Featured Listings enables me to continue maintaining the site. I'm not a big fan of ads, but without them this site would not exsist - so please remember to take a few seconds out of your day to visit the occasional sponsor. :)
